Teaching and Mentoring.
Education is very important to me. So much so, that since pre-school I have only not been in school for a handful of years of my life. Other than that, I have either been a student or a teacher. Even when I've had a full-time job, I've made time to go back and teach part time. There is something about sharing information and "being in the know" that is so energizing to me. Plus, I tend to like the people.
"I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL to the Mentors who have shaped my life."
Besides teaching and learning, I'm also a strong advocate for professional development and mentoring. Although I've experienced a lot as an individual, if it wasn't for the help of my teachers and mentors I would not be where I am. Because of that lasting influence, I've always felt a desire to pass along knowledge to those inquisitive enough to seek it.
As cliche as it sounds, knowledge is power.
If there is anything I can do to help others, I will.
